Terms & Conditions
The terms that apply to our clock repair and restoration services.
Last updated: January 2026
Estimates and approval
All work is quoted in writing after inspection. No repair work begins until you have approved the estimate. If additional faults are discovered once a movement is dismantled, work is paused and you are contacted with a revised estimate before we continue.
Diagnostic and service call fees
Bench inspection fees and in-home service call fees are disclosed before they are incurred and are applied toward the cost of approved work.
Timelines
Estimated completion times are given in good faith. Overhauls include a mandatory test-running period, and parts for antique clocks occasionally have to be made or sourced, which can extend a timeline. You will be told promptly if the estimate changes.
Warranty
Repairs and overhauls carry a written warranty on our workmanship and the parts we supply. The warranty does not cover damage caused by mishandling, moving the clock without proper preparation, improper winding, water, fire, pets, or repairs attempted by others after our work.
Payment
A deposit may be required on restoration projects and on parts that must be specially ordered. The balance is due on completion, before collection or reinstallation.
Storage of completed work
Clocks not collected within ninety days of completion notification may incur storage charges. Property left for more than twelve months after repeated written notice may be disposed of in accordance with Colorado law.
Limitation of liability
Our liability is limited to the cost of the services performed. Antique clocks are, by their nature, worn objects; while we exercise professional care at all times, we cannot guarantee against the failure of original components that were already at the end of their service life.
